Peaceful Pasture oil on liinen 7" x 5" Every time I visit the farm out near the Hill Country where my mom lives, I am inspired to paint landscapes.  There is so much beauty out in the country. Country Road Take Me Home 7" x 5" oil on linen My mom was running late when I arrived in Georgetown last week and forgot to leave me a key. While waiting, I took a little time to walk down this gravel road out to my mom's farm as the sun was going down. It was so quiet and peaceful. I was awestruck at how blue the road looked at that time of day. I didn't have my paints with me, so I took some photos and intensely studied the colors I saw to commit the scene to memory.
