"Awakening" 16x16 oil on panel My Blog My Website Facebook

Just finished this one for my show in September!  I think this is my favorite lily painting so far. Blue Lily With Stars, 16x16 oil on panel My Blog My Website Facebook

JUL 24 Abstract Lily   A view of a lily pad with tall sides; this was a fun abstraction! Abstract Lily, 12x12" My Blog My Website Facebook

Here's the newest painting in my lily series.  I'm focused on painting these plants in an interesting way through compositional and color choices. "Lily Bud" 12x12" Oil on Panel My Blog My Website Facebook

An experimental piece for my lily series; this is oil on printed fabric (on panel).   Untitled, 8x10" oil on printed fabric panel My Blog My Website Facebook

Red Leaf, oil on panel.  This is part of my water lily series; focusing on shapes and design in nature. "Red Leaf" oil on panel, 6x8"   My Blog My Website Facebook

This is a study for my water lily series.  Now that I've done several highly detailed lily paintings to understand the forms, I can relax a little and go with a more intuitive approach.  I'm striving for an accurate, yet painterly finish...this is getting closer to my goal! It's done!  This is my second lily painting for the  Stribling Art Extravaganza  in San Angelo, TX from March 21-23.   "White Lily" 20x24" oil on linen panel My Blog My Website Facebook

"Red Lily" is fresh off the easel. It took weeks to complete, with lots of layering and glazing to get all the reflections, raindrops, and lily colors just right.  I'm very happy with the way it turned out!  This oil painting will be available at the upcoming  Stribling Art Extravaganza  in San Angelo, TX from March 21-23, 2014. Zen Moments: In The Garden-02- Original Photography by Texas Contemporary Artist Denise Bossarte     © Denise Bossarte Zen Moments - In The Garden 02 A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio, In The Garden series. These wonderful little water lilies  were covering large sections of the pond at the Houston Arboretum this spring. So delicate and sprightly! Water Lilies 10x13 oil on canvas I painted the background colors in and started with abstract shapes.  I used a palette knife to build up the color and blend together. The reflections in the water created a nice design. I tried to leave this nice and loose. It is available for purchase. $210.00 Sheri@sheriart.net www.sheriart.net www.sheriart.blogspot.com www.cfai.co/sherijones
