Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

11x15 watercolor of an abandoned vintage vehicle I found in Lamesa, Texas sitting by itself slowly rusting to death after years of service.  Put out to pasture literally, this metal junk heap beckons the artist to peruse its old fashioned charm and wonder who left it there.  This work is now SOLD.   Cotton Farming , torn paper collage by Suzy 'Pal' Powell 12x12 available Email for Info blog This collage was fun to do, since we are cotton farmers.  There are a few words on there, that says it all... Despite Wild Weather...we keep praying and waiting for a good crop.  Cotton Gin, for obvious reasons, Stars for American Cotton, irrigation, Tradition, and planting, There are probably a few more.  This has been an extremely hard year for us.  We haven't had any rain until last night, and only got one half of an inch, which we are very thankful for.  I have learned a lot from my farmer husband. Lots of patience, and hope and faith.  Only God can make it grow.   Our main job is to plant it, and care for it. It is a very rewarding as well as frustrating way of life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We feel very blessed to get to be where we are. This collage could be done, with personalized  pictures, or info.
