© AnnHoffpauir This is a watercolor of some young cowboys at a rodeo waiting for their turn to bull ride.  I can just imagine what they are talking about, hence the title, when their time comes to ride.  It can get pretty exciting watching the dust fly and the expressions on their faces waiting for the buzzer to go off.  Eight seconds takes forever.  http://www.ArtworkbyAnn.com

The Dauntless and The Demure © 2015 Amy Hillenbrand 30 x 24 oil on canvas $1400.00 What do you see when you look at this painting? I see two actors on a stage (they just happen to be flowers) who just finished their performance. The spotlight is on them and it is time to take their bows. The taller actor is very dauntless, bold and confident. He has no problem taking in all the adoration and applause. Now the smaller actress is somewhat shy and demure. She has a hard time taking in all the attention. See her head bowed; allowing her eyes to divert your glance. Notice her bent arms. Can’t you just read her body language? It’s as if she saying “oh stop, stop, this is way too much attention” To purchase this painting or see more colorful flower paintings please go visit my website. FeatherFest2015-03 - "Fishing Buddies" Original Photography by Texas Contemporary Artist Denise Bossarte FeatherFest2015-03 "Fishing Buddies"   © Denise Bossarte Artist of Texas Signature Member News series FeatherFest 2015. This is my favorite shot from the trip. My friend gave it the title to submit it for critique by the photography teachers at the program. They loved the story it told. I do too! The title works for both the men fishing together, as well as the pelicans fishing with the men. "Waves of Lavender"  ©2015 Niki Gulley SOLD • 24" x 12" textured oil painting on wrap around canvas Just Sold through the Good Art Company Gallery! The lavender fields in Provence are incredible – perfectly manicured rows and rows of an explosion of violet as far as the eye can see. I wanted to try something different in this painting, arranging the purple waves vertically to draw your eye up to the cypress atop one of the distant hill towns and adding an uplifting feeling to the scene. Wispy clouds mirror similar shapes to the lavender columns and create a harmony between foreground and background, while perspective lines all converge at the summit, leading you to this joyful, peaceful spot.  If you're in the DFW area this weekend and you'd like to see more of my textured landscape oil paintings, please stop by my display at the Dallas Arboretum's Artscape.
