This painting is from the tea I was preparing w/ Friend Donna's beautiful antique Fiestaware. Of course, the initial plan was to photograph it, then paint it, but a quick cup of hot tea was irresistable. I like the lemon wedges in this one. This painting is being shown at the Artists of Texas exhibition opening this Saturday at the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, TX. Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

  CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

 I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
