This painting has gone through many changes....it is a very large canvas....four feet by four feet. It takes alot of paint to cover it. At one point (several months ago) I thought it was finshed, and was ready to hang. After viewing it for months, I decided that it wasn't finished, and added the dragon fly just this week. There are layers of color, layers of lines, and layers of shapes in this painting. I used a palette knife, wide brush strokes and a oil pastel stick. Thanks for viewing this blog!!! I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.
