American Airlines Exhibit

"Current of Tranquility" ©2010 Niki Gulley
36" x 60" oil on canvas

In this painting I wanted to communicate the peacefulness that comes over me when I'm near water, choosing cool blues and purples to heighten that feeling. I also wanted just a hint of vibrancy in the painting so I chose yellow accents in the leaves and along the bank to add contrast and life.

"Current of Tranquility" and several of my other paintings were selected to exhibit at American Airlines' headquarters and I'm excited about attending the opening reception this afternoon! If you'd like more information on this painting or for more details on corporate acquisitions, e-mail me at Niki@NikiGulley.com.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
