Ron's cows are having babies - 5 down and 2 to go, and so far they are all healthy and VERY photogenic. I spent an hour yesterday before the front hit following the new mamas around, avoiding the bull, and snapping photographs.

I haven't painted much lately - instead I have been drawing. Just drawing, which is what I do when the painting muse abandons me. I can draw pretty well, and it reinforces my confidence somehow. I am ready to paint now....

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
