Tulip Tango and a Tour of Artscape at the Dallas Arboretum

Last weekend the Dallas Arboretum hosted Artscape, and 94! Guess whose art tent this is, the one on the upper right, the one with the flower paintings? I'll give you a minute... Though the show was cut short by snow on Sunday, on Friday the weather was excruciatingly beautiful.

Take a peek at my blog for a tour of Artscape! Thanks to everyone who came to see me in frigid temperatures on Saturday. I owe a debt of gratitude to whomever invented pocket warmers. I couldn't have made it through without them!

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

  CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

 I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
