Garden Tapestry is almost complete, save the signature, and it will be ready to ship to my client. Take a peek at my art blog to see the painting in its entirety. This large work of art will adorn a kitchen wall in Montreal, Canada, and I hope it brings light and blossoms to a home that sees a bit more winter than Flower Mound, Texas.

It has been such a delight to be assigned a commission to paint all of my favorite flowers. I feel like the proverbial kid in the candy store being able to create something on this scale, and I also keep remembering the day in the summer when I was about 8 years old when my mother gave me a giant, tiered box of 84 bran new perfect Crayola crayons. I love painting large and with bright color, perhaps this is more color than some would prefer, but it makes me smile.

  CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
