Canyon Wall was inspired by a recent trip to Sedona, Az. The beginning of the painting is also posted on by blog at http://wilderartist.com. I worked on a very textured canvas. One I had painted over a painting that I was not happy with. In the texture I used a combination of liquid gesso and matte medium. As it developed, I realized that it was definitely an inspired painting.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
