A Safe Place Flower Garden is my dream green house, situated in the back yard of my dream English cottage on my dream 10-acre New England farm. And, yes, it's all in my dreams. I've been moving my art more toward floral-scapes lately, a combination of colorful flower pots in landscapes where I wish I could be. Just outside the door of this hothouse are giant lilac bushes and a couple of wicker chairs with beautiful cushions, a pot of hot tea and a pitcher of cold creme, and a few fat little pugs to run through the grass while I sit. I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
