I created this from a photo I took early one morning on my way to work. This is from an area we painted during the spring time, but it was my first time to drive thru during the fall. This tree and the golden grasses were all lite up. It was one I couldn't wait to put my twist to it. I love all the warm colors.
I will be do a painting demonstration at the Dutch Art Gallery on Saturday, December 4, 11 am- 4 pm. The Artist of Texas have a beautiful show until the end of December.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
