Lately I have developed an interest in miniatures. I'm pretty rusty on these, because my preferred size is about 200% larger and this size is so new to me! But I am fascinated with the way miniatures draw the viewer in. I've only painted a half-dozen of these, but half have sold before I could get them framed. My gallery is waiting for me to get a large enough set completed to be able to hang them all for an opening.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
