Daily Paint Works offers up weekly challenges and this is from the All About Me Challenge. This was a great way to get me out of my comfort zone. It's always a good learning experience too. There's not a cut off date and anyone can contribute to it anytime. Painting a self portrait is difficult and I wonder if you are ever really satisified with it. If anything it is good practice in portrait work. It is interesting to see all the entries and see the artist behind the work. Check it out Daily Paint Works.
