Hydrangea by Ann Hoffpauir

Hydrangea is a very beautiful and showy plant when in bloom. Depending on the soil they are growing in, acid or alkaline, the blooms are either pink or blue, or so people say. I do know mine turned pink although I bought plants that had blue blooms at the time. These plants do require more water I think. They have large leaves and they start to droop if not watered enough. Mine bit the dust because of our Texas drought and being away for awhile didn't help at all.
The plant I painted, I purchased recently. It is an oil painted on a 6x6 canvas panel. It is available for $75.00. Thank you for viewing.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
