Taking a cruise through Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, Michigan proved to be a the high point of our trip to Lake Superior. For two hours we were treated to amazing and colorful rock formations gleaming in the sunlight, some with cascading waterfalls. There were so many great shots, choosing one to paint was difficult. I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.
