This image was done on stamped, collaged, gessoed, etc. paper. The image is based on an old photo from the nineteenth century. The image was changed somewhat to make it work on this paper. Some of the old indian photos are amazing with their strong, silent faces. I used tombow pens for most of the image.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.
