Fireglow

Recently here in Texas, we experienced the worst wildfire disaster in history. Many people lost everything. This painting is born completely from the raw feelings and aftermath of this tragedy.

As an Australian, I am not new to wildfires, and have to say for something so terrifying in the moment, as a lowly artist I felt I had to try and record the beauty and awe of NATURE in all her glory.

This is a 24 x 48" oil, on gallery wrap canvas. It will be on display in The Group of Four Show at the Round Rock Artspace during from November 30th through the month of December. Please drop by and see this and other pieces of mine, I would love to see you there.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
