" Chula " by Carol Peterson 7" x 5" acrylic on board SOLD This is one of three small paintings I did for my daughter.  She wanted paintings of her mother-in-law's dogs.  Chula is an Aussie and very energetic.  I did this painting on bumpy mat board with a pyrrole orange under painting.  I can't decide if I like the spots left by the bumpy mat board.

Fingertip Sunflower by Nancy Medina 6X8 Oil on Linen Board Purchase Information Nancy Medina Web Site Fingertip Sunflower is a new small study in Flower Mound Studio, as the pugs and I prepare for our usual New Year's eve celebration - lounging about (or in my case, slinging paint) in the studio. The most entertaining part of New Year's is calling my mom to see how her annual party is going. This particular celebration has been going on for almost 16 years. Every new year's eve, my niece stays the night with mom. They have party horns and chip and dip and all manner of good snack foods. And they ring in the new year together. My niece is 18, so this tradition has been an important part of her growing up. Happy almost new year to you! Stay warm, stay safe, and for heaven's sake, don't forget to hug your critters!

Afternoon Sun 9x12 oil on canvas This was inspired from a day painting with friends. I was driving home after the workshop with Olivette Hubler and feeling very inspired. I made many stops taking photos and taking in the sights of the drive. It was a pretty fall afternoon. Cliff Wall at Rough Creek by Sheri Jones 14x11 oil on canvas This was inspired from a trip out to Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose. It is a hunting resort on 11,000 acres and always a great place of inspiration. We went on the opening weekend for hunting and there were gun shots all around. We were in a safe zone, but it is still intimidating with the sound of gunfire all around. This small creek is the run off from their fishing lake. Barbara Jones "Rosehips" is a 9x12 oil I painted recently and sold. I discovered how beautiful the rosehips are on my antique rose bushes.
