Win Under The Twin Spires by Melissa Doron

This is my latest in equestrian series called "Win Under The Twin Spires".  We are getting close to race season at Churchhill Downs...which was my inspiration for this painting.  You can see the horse is giving it all he's got to pass the finish line before the others. The idea was the background whizzing by in the neutral black, white and greys and all the colors focused on the horse and jockey. They are moving so fast that the only things really visible are the twin spires of Churchhill Downs and the moon and stars which I include in all my outdoor paintings for my family. I hope you enjoy "win Under the Twin Spires". For information, email me at artistdoron@gmail.com.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
