A Day at the Lake, by Melissa A. Torres, 11x14 Acrylic on Canvas

This painting was done from a photo taken approximately 16 years ago when my son was about three. My mom is seen here with him. This is one of my favorite pictures ever taken of the two of them. Now he is 19 years old with a little one of his own. How I wish they could stay this age forever, or at least for a little bit longer. This is done in acrylic on 11 x14 canvas. It should be finished soon!

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.
