This woman was weaving in a store in Lima, Peru and was wearing traditional dress.  She looked up as I started to take photos and I caught this pensive expression.  I used my usual liquid acrylic underpainting but in this case it interfered with the look I was trying to obtain in the painting.  As a result I covered the background with a mixture of gouache in green and black.
