Yellow and Blue Iris Bouquet was one of my demos for a three-day workshop in Memphis-Germantown-Collierville Tennessee last weekend. These sunny flowers were put on hold for us at the local Kroger floral department, thanks to call ahead ordering by my wonderful friend Carolyn who lives there. Pictured below is Carolyn's grandpoodle Mister Charlie, the handsome fellow with a mysterious past who was rescued by his mama. Take a peek at the bloggy to see Charlie. Can you believe anyone would let a cutey like him go? Me neither! What's up with those crazy people I ask!
I'm so glad to be home with the hubby and pugs, but also sad to say goodbye to Carolyn and Em and Molly and Morgan and Charlie, and all the wonderful workshop gals in Tennessee. We had a veritable selection of southern states represented in the room, with Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, West Virginia, Missouri, Mississippi, Texas, and Kentucky. Today was, after all, my first day with no SUH-weet tea, chocolate covered donuts, and homemade chocolate ice box pie, not to mention no kisses from Mister Charlie. I am hoping to teach again in Tennessee next year, so stay tuned to the workshop page and sign up for my newsletter if you'd like to be in the loop!
The lovely models, courtesy of Miss Carolyn!
