Every now and then I go out painting and notice something that I think might make a better painting than what I set out to capture, but for one reason or another I choose not to paint it. Usually, it's just me being stubborn. I set out to paint "X" so that's what I'm going to work on. Still, in the back of my mind while I'm painting I notice that my thoughts often drift back to the other scene.
