I have painted in this area with my friend, Sheri Jones, several times. But In the past, I couldn’t quite capture the colors or get the paint thick enough. I love the way Sheri uses the palette knife to get her rich colors and decided to give it a try. With a photo for reference, I used my small palette knife which was fun and very satisfying to paint the fall colors.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.
