SOLD ~ Sugar Bowl Pansies and a Quick Tip on Painting White Flowers by Texas Artist Nancy Medina

Sugar Bowl Pansies by Nancy Medina

SOLD
8X10
Oil on Panel

In an attempt to show a smidgen of self-discipline and restrain myself from painting my new red vase ad infinitum, I painted a white sugar bowl today. A dear friend asked how to make the whites and I thought you might like to know, since I also happen to be infatuated with white flowers lately. Visit my art blog to read a bit about my method!

Put a little joy in your brush and join me for a flower painting workshop to hear more tips for making your flowers sing with color. The new year is just around the corner. What a great time to loosen your approach to painting and learn to fall in love with your easel again!

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
