White Hydrangeas and a Holiday Art Show by Texas Flower Artist Nancy Medina

Let It Snow White Hydrangeas
8X10
Oil on Archival Panel

I know I shouldn't name paintings after holiday themes or particular topics that have a short shelf life, but I just could not help myself because I want it to SNOW! I've been invited to join a very talented group of local artists for their annual show and sale at Cripple Tree Studios December 1-3. I'll be there at 1 pm Saturday and sure hope to see you! I'll have nine of my newest paintings available, and a few might even be just a little damp around the edges. Stop by and say hello, get a little paint on your elbows, and get some holiday shopping done!

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
