(Painted for day 29 of 30 of the Leslie Saeta paint 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.)

I do hope that if you started out on this challenge you have made it this far. I do enjoy making goals and sticking with them to completion; however many of mine never made it. I'm thinking of sewing a brown tweed wool tailored coat that I came to hate and it ended up in the trash before it was finished. That fabric looked much better in the store and me in brown? No. We need to remember if first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you. But I've put some kind of paint down each day for 29 days and some little paintings I like better than others but sky diving is not in my future.
What is in my future as a Canvas by Canvas member is making plans for a show with reception flowers at the Breckenridge Fine Art Center in March and April, with the reception March 10. Here are seven of the members in executive session at Pho in Fort Worth yesterday discussing the logistics. Save the date and see you there. You are not required to bring flowers.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
