This is an indian who was selling his work at a port in Mexico. I think he is often there since a friend of mine came home with his photo from a cruise recently. His costume was quite elaborate and I had to simplify it quite a bit or the painting would have been overwhelmed with the patterns. I prefer portraits with fairly uncluttered backgrounds and hence the dark red and blue background here.
