An Artist' Garden by Artist of Texas, Sheri Jones

An Artist' Garden
10x8 oil on Raymar canvas panel

I created this on the first day of  Paint Historic Waxachacie. This goes on during their Gingerbread Tour of homes. This garden is in the back yard of one of the homes on the tour. She is a master gardener and invited artist to come and paint.  It was a wonderful opportunity in an incredible garden. This painting is on sale thru the Ellis County Art Association and will be on display at the art center through Friday afternoon. The group paintings are then moved to
Chautauqua Auditorium-Getzendaner Park
Waxahachie, Texas
Open Saturday and Sunday-10 a - 4 p

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
