"In the Shadows" 5x7, Oil on Panel

I got a chance to Plein Air paint this past week and it was actually a cloudy day with a cool breeze. In July! It was great although I think it has spoiled me as I went out again that same week and it was cloudy and cool.

One thing I love about the clouds is how they bring out the colors. The green seems so inviting to me, so soft and cool. I had fun sitting in the shadows of these great Oaks painting and enjoying the Texas landscape.
