Originally from South Louisiana, I was glad to be in the land of the brown pelican again when we moved to Corpus Christi TX. I have a fascination with pelicans, particularly the saltwater loving brown pelican. I can watch them glide just inches above the surface of the gulf for hours and a formation of them is captivating. This is one of a series of wildlife paintings that will be in a new one-woman solo exhibition "The Natural World" in the Kuchera Gallery at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, Texas for the month of November 2013.
