Stop by my website to see available paintings.  I cannot believe this is the end of June... and tomorrow is July.  I count through the summer months in anticipation of Fall, often trying to hurry time.  Does not make sense!

July is ahead with many family activities and joyful gatherings... birthdays, the Fourth of July and lazy summer evenings.  My twinkle light surround the back porch area... the mosquito plants surround the porch and the little egg filled with citronella is doing its job. Memories in the making on these hot summer days and lazy evenings.  Terry has our backyard filled with roses, flowers and our garden. Our morning hours are spent from about 6-7 in the garden and hand watering the trees and plants in the beds around the house. They have predicted a rainy July and I would embrace it readily.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

  #mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

  CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
 I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
