Usually I ask my students to write down what they want to achieve in their paintings before starting. My goal for this painting was a sunny approach and feeling for the viewer. The new collector that purchased this piece said exactly that. She stated, "It made me feel happy and sunny". That was music to my soul to know that I captured that in the painting.
