This palette knife painting is fun, colorful and has lots of texture. You can see the layers of paint, as it was applied with a knife. You can't help but want to put your hands over the surface and feel the chunks of paint. The paint is also on the sides of the stretcher bars, so framing is optional. I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
