Autumn's Allure, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Autumn's Allure
8x10 oil on canvas

This was captured on location near my home in Granbury. My neighbor and painter friend, Jill Randall paint on location as often as we can.  The day was gray, but the alluring colors were popping. This is available for purchase. $225.00

This is my last post for 2014. It was a productive year with many successful ventures.
Next year will start off with 2 new opportunities.
I will be the featured artist for the Visitor's Center in Granbury. 116 West Bridge Street, Granbury, Tx 76048. It is off the square next to Farino's Restaurant.  It will feature my landscapes paintings and will hang the month of January. Please stop by and check it out.
The next is a group show at the Ft. Worth Library. It will feature a western theme with local landscapes.  I will post more more information as it gets closer to the opening.
Have a great new 2015.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
