Paintings of 2014 by Carolyn Hancock

The 2014 roller coaster is almost at the bottom of the hill, ready to exit. It's been busy, too busy at times. I did not take as much studio time as I would have liked, and it shows in the number of really good paintings from my easel. But I am very proud of the work that I've done as president of the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas. Great membership numbers and growth in programs and activities. 2015 shapes up even better.

Here's my video to celebrate the year end and the good paintings that did escape my easel.

Happy New Year, Success, Good Health, and Lots of Excellent Paintings.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
