"Skyline" 12x48, Oil on Canvas

I'm working towards a show in April and this is my first installment off the easel. I hope to have several for the gallery to pick from.

I love ridge lines. I like to paint the layers of color you can get with them. Instead of pushing this to a bright red I used a newer color (for me) Transparent Oxide Red. I mixed the blue with this red to get the neutrals.

First painting of 2015 and it's a long vista out into the horizon.
