I was looking at this painting, remembering Shea and what a great dog she was. I really enjoyed painting this one. I used wide brushes, plenty of paint, and wanted to get her full of life personality on the canvas. Currently we have three grand-doggies and I might need to paint one of them. When the dogs are so active, it is necessary to work off of photographs. So putting a few photograph sessions is on my to-do list. I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.
