Village Glow...Semi -Abstract....Pastel over Acrylic and Watercolor...Texas Artist ...Rae Andrews

Okay, I am still doing the pastel over acrylics and using watercolor to pull areas together with this image. I used WILD colors with the acrylics to begin this scene. I think most of you know how much I just LOVE color!

I love the interaction of the mixed media, and it allows me my vibrant WILD use of color.
I think I prefer the ABSTRACT  genre, but thought I would throw this one in for a bit of a break. Hope you all like it.

Back to the studio!

This image is 5" x 7" on sanded Richeson board.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
