Just Sold - "Leading the Way," Tuscany - Palette Knife Painting by Niki Gulley

SOLD • "Leading the Way," Tuscany ©2015 Niki Gulley
24" x 12"" textured oil painting on gallery wrap canvas

Just sold through the Good Art Company Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX. Inspired by our travels to Italy, cypress trees rise out of the rolling landscape signaling that you have arrived in Tuscany. Arranging the trees in diagonal patterns, they beckon you to travel down the path they line while softly drifting clouds repeat the shape of the dirt road and create a harmony, leading you into the distance where something amazing may lie. You only need to venture forth to find out!

For the month of March,  I will be one of the featured artists at the Good Art Company. Several of my new palette knife paintings from our travels not only in Italy, but closer to home, around the state of Texas will be on display. If interested in more information or visiting the artist reception on March 4th, please contact goodartcompany.com/gac/. I hope to see you there!

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
