We drove by this view on the way to William's Creek Reservoir in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. I made a metal note to return to this gorgeous scene. I did return the next morning and set up quickly. Soon after it started raining and rained until I couldn't keep things dry. I painted under the back hatch on the car and it worked for a while.
