Spring is starting to spring. Daylight saving time has arrived and tiny signs of spring are showing up in the garden. Poppies are one of the first flowers spotted at the nursery. Just the thought of all the beautiful flowers in the garden lift my spirits and as you watch these poppies dance away in the wind they will spread joy to your life.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas. I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
