I love painting on large square canvases. This 40" x 40" canvas is drying in the studio, waiting to be varnished. Actually this is a mixed media piece because I used charcoal, oils, and oil bars. Using the willow charcoal stick, I scraped into the layered oil when it was wet. I enjoyed experimenting with different color combos as I worked my way through the painting.
