I am walking the line with one foot in the realm of abstraction, with just a hint of realism. I built up the composition by using multiple layers with a palette knife and some glazes. I have also thrown in a few pops of unexpected color to give the piece an extra element of movement.

I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting. 24"x40" and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.

I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting. But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt. So maybe I can slip it into the blog! If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
