"Flowing into Autumn" Palette Knife Painting by Niki Gulley

"Flowing into Autumn" ©2020 Niki Gulley
SOLD • 30" x 48" textured oil painting on wrap around canvas

Just Sold! I created "Flowing into Autumn" with many layers of paint, starting with a swirling thin application to form the tangled underbrush and flowing current to thick impasto strokes for texture and energy in the foliage and trunks. Water rushes downstream as autumn leaves dance in the gentle breeze. I hope you experience a feeling of peace and warmth being immersed in the beauty of nature, letting all of your cares drift away.

E-mail Niki Gulley for more information on "Flowing into Autumn" and her other palette knife paintings.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
