With such depressing news these days, I felt compelled to paint something that would make us feel much better. And, it worked on me, so I hope it does the same for you. I felt so much happier after painting this larger than life bluebonnet and Indian Paintbrush scene. Working with palette knife and a lot of texture, reveling in the process of flinging and pouring paint to create a joyful, kinetic kaleidoscope, and playing with a cheerful palette of reds, yellows and blues, I feel like this one really lifts one’s spirits and has a touch of whimsy to it.
