New Commissioned Oil Painting from Lake Como by Niki Gulley

Lake Como, Italy ©2022 Niki Gulley
SOLD • oil on canvas • 24" x 48"

Just Delivered to a good new home! Lake Como, Italy is probably my favorite spot from all of our travels, so I was thrilled when my collectors asked me to paint a custom painting from this region.

The vistas are simply breathtaking with the alps in the background, the gorgeous blue of the lake, the brightly colored unique buildings and the lush foliage dotting the magnificent gardens. I love this little laid back town of Varenna, which is so peaceful that all of your cares just melt away. I'm sure my commissioned painting will help bring back fond memories for my collectors of their travelers and bring some peace and joy to their beautiful home!

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
