"Let the Sun Shine In" #4 - Sunflower Painting by Niki Gulley

"Let the Sun Shine In" #4 ©2022 Niki Gulley
11" x 14" Textured Oil Painting on 3/4" Stretched Canvas
Painting continues around the edges so that it can be hung without a frame.

Once more sunflowers are the vibrant burst of joy that are continuing to bring happiness into my day. I love going by the window and seeing them in the backyard to greet me. It is almost like they are smiling and waving to me.

If you'd like to see this painting and more of my contemporary florals and palette knife landscape paintings, please stop by my exhibit at Southlake's Art in the Square this weekend.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
